Coldicott due to return to Edgar Street

Stacy Coldicott is due to return to Hereford United from Cambridge United this week. The midfielder has spent the last month on-loan to get match fitness. His last possible appearance for Cambridge is on Tuesday evening when they entertain Grays Athletic.

A month ago Cambridge were desperate for a mid-fielder to cover for Ritchie Hanlon who was out injured. However Coldicott was dropped for yesterday's game against Woking although Hanlon is not yet fit.

In fact Coldicott wasn't even named on the bench although there was no mention on the Cambridge site of any injury problem with the former Grimsby player.

With the partnership of Stanley and Ferrell looking like the first choice in the middle, especially after last Monday's performance against Stevenage, Coldicott could find it very difficult to get back into the Hereford side.

There may even be a case for Graham Turner to cut his losses and offer Coldicott to another club for a month, unless Cambridge wish to keep him which at present looks unlikely.

So far this season Coldicott has started in just seven Conference games, four for Hereford United and three for Cambridge United.
