Who Do You Think You Are Kidding Mr Cooper?

Or is it Dad's Army at The Lamb?

Tommy Johnson becomes Mark Cooper's latest Premiership veteran at Tamworth. The Lambs now have ten players over 30 in their squad. Johnson, the ex-Villa and Celtic striker, joins fellow Premiership veterans Nicky 'Don't Panic' Summerbee, Paul 'Godfrey' Merson, and Bob 'Don't tell them (I'm in the bar) Pike' Taylor in the Home Guard.

Crawley boss John Hollins has encouraged a performance out of his players by telling them all they're useless: "They struggled to pass the ball five yards at times and ran out of ideas going forward. I brought in two players because I could get two players out. I would like to move out as many as I can but I can't."

York's Supporters Trust met on Saturday to discuss the offer from Chief Executive Jason McGill's company to take over a portion of the Trust's shareholding in exchange for covering some debts. No decision has yet been made. York have allowed keeper David Stockdale to join Worksop on a month's loan. Striker Andy Bishop, however, is mystified that the club has not signalled their intentions to him. The Conference top scorer is out of contract in the summer, and no offer has been made to the 23 year old.

Exeter have released striker Craig Watkins after the teenager failed to settle in Devon following his move from Sutton Utd in the summer.

Cambridge are lining up moves for two more players. Lincoln defender Matt Bloomer and Bolton's teenage keeper Sam Ashton both impressed in yesterday's reserve match.

Aldershot boss Terry Brown has denied reports of a rift with departed defender John Brough, saying that Brough's contract had a clause in it requiring him to play in 32 matches this season in order to get a deal for next season, and that once that was impossible it was agreed he should leave.

Gravesend have extended defender Robert Watkins' loan from Fulham for two more months. The club have kept three clean sheets in five games with Watkins in the side.
