Turner hopeful of Stanley Slip-up

Graham Turner has told BBC Hereford and Worcester that he has set his side the challenge of six points from their next two matches.

The first of those two games is away at Canvey Island on Saturday, and Turner is hopeful that the Bulls can keep up the challenge on Accrington Stanley, the Conference leaders, with another three points.

"We've got to continue to win our games, and hope that Accrington slip up at some time; we've got them to come here, and we've got to win that game, that's obvious, if we're going to have any chance of catching them.

"They've done remarkably well this season; I think they've taken quite a few people by surprise, the way they've gone about things.

"But, they're quite capable of slipping up, so we've got to be there to take advantage if they do.

"We've got to continue to win our games, and hope that Accrington slip up at some time.

"People will say: "It's only Conference football", but there is pressure; there's expectation from supporters, and so players have got to be able to handle that as we come to the final games of the season, when it's so important.

"I think we've got the players who have learnt over the last two seasons that we can deal with it.

"If we go on like we have done over the last two seasons, there's no reason why we can't catch Accrington."
