Bulls battler departs

Hereford United midfielder Stacy Coldicott has joined Cambridge United on loan.

BBC Hereford & Worcester report that the experienced Coldicott, who signed for United in the summer, will spend a month at Abbey Stadium.

Cambridge boss Rob Newman told their official website: "Stacy Coldicott has bags of experience in the lower leagues and also played for West Brom at a higher level as well.

"He's just coming back to fitness after a long layoff and while Ritchie Hanlon is out injured he will be a like-for-like presence in there. He likes to get stuck into a tackle and he'll bring some experience for the younger ones around him and organise things.

"He likes to tackle and he likes to pass the ball easy, which is the way we should be playing, so hopefully he'll come in and help us get over this sticky period we're having at the moment. We need some positive results and it's a month's loan so it will help him get fit and help us out as well, and hopefully by the time that month is up then Ritchie will be available for selection."
