Graham Turner has made his first move into beefing up his squad with the news that Daryl Taylor has re-joined Hereford United on a two month loan deal. Taylor impressed supporters last season, when he first came on loan from Walsall. He will be regarded as an excellent replacement for Jon Brady.
It is being reported that the deal has been set up so the player can continue his recovery following his 8 month injury absence. The winger will be looking for regular football where he can look to rediscover the form that saw him score 3 goals in his first 3 games for Walsall.
Taylor was injured at Edgar Street in the York game towards the end of last season when previously on loan from Walsall.
Below is an up-to-date profile of Taylor from the Official Saddlers Website:
BLESSED with great pace and skill, Daryl Taylor could be seen as a rarity in the modern game - a winger who can beat his man and supply a quality ball.
After five years with Aston Villa, the Birmingham-born forward moved across the Midlands to Bescot Stadium and signed professional forms in the summer of 2004.
The 20 year-old scored two goals in 17 appearances for Mick Halsall's reserve side in 2003/2004, where his impressive performances earned him a first-team squad number even though he was still a third-year scholar.
He made an explosive Football League debut for The Saddlers on the opening day of the 2004/2005 season, coming on as substitute in our clash with Port Vale and scoring one of the goals in a 3-2 victory. He followed that up with two more strikes in the next two games to really announce his arrival on the first-team stage.
He was used cautiously over the 2004/2005 campaign, but is a player of undoubted skill and ability, with exciting talent, who is expected to have a good career in the game.
Allowed to link up with Nationwide Conference outfit, Hereford United on loan in March 2005 but suffered an injury that ended his season early. He spent the summer of 2005 battling back to fitness.
After coming back into The Saddlers' first-team in December 2005, Taylor was allowed to re-join Hereford United on loan for two months in January 2006.
