Rose may stay at Scunthorpe

Former Hereford United defender Michael Rose is set to stay at Scunthorpe for the rest of the season if manager Brian Law can agree an extension with Yeovil.

According to the Offical Scunthorpe Website Laws is optimistic that on-loan defender Michael Rose will stay at the club.

The 23-year-old left back who joined Scunthorpe from Yeovil Town at the start of the month has impressed since signing and the Iron boss is hoping to extend the stay of the former Hereford and Chester man but admits he faces competition from other interested parties.

"Michael has come in and done a terrific job for us and we'd like to keep him a bit longer," explained Laws. "We are going to talk to him this week.

"There is competition out there and a few clubs want to take him now but I am just hoping that Michael makes the decision to stay with us."
