Kitson Quits Shots For Diamonds

One of the summers surprise signings, Paul Kitson, has left the Conference after just 21 minutes in an Aldershot shirt.

Kitson, 34, cost nearly £6million in transfer fees, and scored over 100 senior goals but failed to gain full fitness after a shock move to Aldershot in August, rejoining Rushden as a coach on Tuesday.

In other Conference news, veteran defender Mike Flynn's loan to Hyde has become a permanent deal after Accrington and the player reached a settlement on the remainder of his contract. Accrington have moved swiftly to replace him by finalising a deal to make loan defender Phil Edwards move from Wigan permanent. Scarboro have taken former winger David Pounder on trial after his release by York last month.
