Conference News Round-Up

The move of Denny Ingram from Halifax to Scarborough was unsurprising since Ingram lives in Scarborough, but very surprising after Ingram's last visit to Scarborough six weeks ago ended with the Police being called after he was accused of assaulting Scarborough captain Neil Bishop. Yesterday Bishop and Ingram lined up as team-mates after Scarborough apparently outbid Halifax for Ingram's services, signing an 18 month contract after his short-term deal at Halifax expired.

Aldershot's striker search will intensify next week after Cambridge recalled John Turner from his loan spell there and immediately loaned the youngster to Rushden before a permanent deal on a free transfer is finalised on Monday. Cambridge manager Rob Newman told the official Cambridge site: "John works his socks off, but his goal return hasn't been good enough. He wasn't getting a game for us, so it's the right thing to do, and it frees up a place to bring someone in."
