Wayne Brown, the Hereford United goalkeeper, interviewed on BBC Hereford and Worcester after the game, praised the defensive pairing of Dean Beckwith and Tamika Mkandawire who had made his life easy this afternoon.
"I think they are two of the best defenders I've played behind.
"A pretty quiet day really. A save in the first half and a save in the second half. We kept them under wraps. Our defence is solid.
"Probably the biggest win (recently). Coming here, they're battling for their lives. We just dug in."
Brown said it was the first time he had seen new-signing Daryl Taylor.
"He looked quite lively on the right. He did alright."
Craig Mawson will play next Saturday in the Trophy game against Halifax as Brown is barred by Chester from taking part.
"I think it's just Chester being a bit.. spiteful. That's what happens when you fall out with certain people. Nuff said."
Meanwhile Neil Redfearn, the Scarborough manager, told Radio Yorkshire that it was a poor game.
"We made a mistake at the back. They didn't make any. The ball got knocked over the top, the lad gets in and he scores.
"We could have finished the game then as after that it was a non-event
