Johnson Pleads For Time

Former Yeovil manager Gary Johnson has pleaded for time in his efforts to turn Bristol City's season around.

Johnson won three of his first four games in charge but has now lost the last five, conceding fifteen goals in those games, including embarrassing defeats to lower graded Barnet and Notts County in the LDV Trophy and FA Cup.

"I knew the size of the task before I came, but I was willing to take it on and try and make this into the club it wants to be," he told BBC Sport.
"It's been a long time since the supporters had success in the league. They've got to have faith in their manager and hope this is the one who is going to get it for them. I think I am, and I'll prove that in the long run."
