Jim Harvey, the much respected Morecambe manager, was reported to have been taken to hospital this afternoon just before the start of the Conference game against Cambridge United.
He was said to have suffered 'chest pains'.
After being seen by the club doctor, he was taken to hospital.
Harvey, now aged 47, has been at Morecambe for eleven years, after a career that included over seven years with Hereford United before he moved on to Bristol City.
