Graham Turner usually has something interesting to say in his notes in the Matchday programme, Bullseye. This week he mentioned the new floodlights which were turned on at half-time.
"I hope this afternoon you are dazzled by our performance and not by the new lights.
"It will be the first time that our new 'luminaires' have been used but I am told that when the lights were tested they were excellent.
"I hope they add to the spectacle of watching matches here especially when they will be employed for the first full floodlit game against Port Vale in the LDV Trophy."
Turner also wrote about the leases and future plans.
"We had the problem of the leases on the ground not being long enough for us to apply for Football Foundation grants towards the not insignificant costs of replacing the lights, but against that was the urgent need to bring them up to a standard whereby they met both the Conference and Football lerague criteria.
"Those leases should be extended in the not too distant future which will enable us to claim the maximum amount of grants towards the redevelopment of both ends of the Stadium.
"I beleive that Football Foundation grants allow a limited amount of money for each project but with a maximum, there then follows a period when no more can be claimed.
"We shall certainly not miss out on the total amount available to us as and when things get moving on the development front."
