Trewick Scouts Burton Match

Speaking to the Non League Paper ahead of Saturday's match with Burton, Bulls boss Graham Turner admitted Burton could be troublesome: "Burton have been difficult opponents for us and played very well to beat Stevenage last Saturday. Our coach John Trewick saw the match and came back with a very complimentary report. We shall have to be switched on to get a win because they have a good record against us."

Whilst his coach was at the Burton-Stevenage match, Turner took in the Kidderminster-Morecambe game at Aggborough.

Andy Ford, assistant manager at Stevenage was more critical of his side's performance at Burton rather than praising Burton's performance, and felt the league was still tight: "We weren't pleased, obviously. We need that kick up the backside to motivate us against Accrington. We gave silly things away too often and the errors in our game cost us badly. It's still anyone's league to win. No one team has ran clear like last year. Even Grays the leaders for a while now have drawn their last couple of matches. If any team puts a run of four or five wins together now they could have the edge going into Christmas."
