Former Hereford United defender Tom Smith is understood to have moved to Truro City.
A player named Tom Smith has featured in their last two games. Both resulted in 4-0 wins for his latest club.
Meanwhile another former Hereford United player could be on the move according to This is Gwent.
Recently appointed manager of Newport County, Peter Beadle, is said to be hoping to sign Tony Pennock currently at Carmarthen Town.
Pennock, now 34, was originally with Stockport and Wigan and then played around fifteen League games for Hereford United before moving to Yeovil in August 1998.
His career at Edgar Street was summarised by HU-FC.co.uk
Following spells at both Wigan Athletic and earlier, Stockport County, Tony signed for Hereford in 1994 and was installed as first 'keeper. However, just one clean sheet in thirteen starts tells its own story, and combined with fifteen goal conceded in just three games he was dropped. He finished the season as understudy to Chris MacKenzie and was on his way, to Yeovil Town.
He enjoyed a great deal of success at Huish Park before moving onto Rushden & Diamonds, Farnborough Town and then, in the summer of 2003, Carmarthen.
"We have made a seven-days approach to Tony," Beadle said. "Hopefully he will come in for Saturday."
