FA Cup Review

Eleven Conference sides confirmed their places in the first round, but eight were dumped out.

Crawley lost at home to Braintree by a single goal, and Exeter did the same against Stevenage, while Forest Green lost out to Dag & Red 3-2 after taking a 2-0 lead inside the half hour. Harrogate claimed the scalp of Scarboro with a single goal victory, and Gravesend slumped to a 3-0 defeat at Kettering. Tamworth beat Altrincham 3-1, and Kidderminster's hopes of balancing the books with a Cup run were severely dented after going down to a single goal loss at Southport with Chris Lane inflicting the damage. Weymouth defeated Cambridge 2-1 to earn themselves a moneyspinning trip to Notts Forest.

From the Conference the Bulls, Accrington, and Canvey all drew at home to lower graded opposition to face replays.
