Clough wants a point tomorrow

Nigel Clough is hoping that his side can get at least a point tomorrow against Hereford. The Brewers have a good record against the Bulls and have only let two goals past them in the last four games. And they will have been encouraged with their recent performance against Stevenage.

"I always say that every run has to come to an end sometime, but we hope ours lasts a bit longer against Hereford," Clough told the Burton Mail.

"We really do need a clean sheet because 13 is a lot of games to go without one and I hope we defend as well as we did when we got a point down there last season.

"We would like a point at least but, with Jon Shaw firing again, I fancy us to get a goal, which will be worth a lot more to us if defend well.

"We've just played four of the biggest clubs in the Conference in Exeter, Cambridge, Aldershot and Stevenage - and we can add Hereford to that list.

"Because of the ground and the size of the crowd, it always feels like we are at a Football League club when we play them.

"They haven't made quite as good a start as they usually do, but they'll be there or thereabouts come the end of the season."
