United sign-up ex-Bull

Former Hereford United midfielder Chris Hargreaves has joined League Two side Oxford United.

Hargreaves, who was at Edgar Street when they were relegated from the Football League in 1997, has enjoyed spells at Plymouth Argyle and Northampton Town since then.

The thirty-three year-old has signed a two-year contract for Oxford, having only been offered a year-long deal by former club Brentford.

"I would have been happy for him to stay, but I must look to improve and Chris must look for security," boss Martin Allen told the Bees' website.
