Play-off far from finished

This short report from yesterday appears in the Daily Telegraph.

Dino Maamria glanced in an 87th minute equaliser for Stevenage yesterday to remind Hereford that this play-off semi-final is far from finished. The Tunisian headed in Jon Brady's cross to cancel out the superb goal from Danny Carey-Bertram 13 minutes earlier that looked set to give Hereford a first-leg lead.

Stevenage had nothing to show for carving out the best of the early chances in a tense contest. Anthony Elding, who had begun the first half by flashing a header narrowly wide, came just as close with a fierce low drive just before the interval.

Hereford improved markedly after the break and nine minutes after replacing Lee Mills, Carey-Bertram put the visitors ahead with a thunderous 25-yard shot.
