Late Start for Play-off Final

According to BBC Sport the Conference play-off final is expected to be played in the evening.

The 2005 Conference play-off final is set to be moved to a Saturday evening.
The Scottish FA objected to the original time of the game which was to be shown on national television on either a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Uefa rules insist that a match can only be televised at that time of day if all football governing bodies agree.

A source close to the Conference told BBC Southern Counties Radio the game is likely to be at 1930 BST on Saturday, 14 May at Stoke's Britannia Stadium.

Below are the details of the play-offs taken from the Official Conference Site. As yet there is no mention of kick-off times or confirmation that the final will be on the Saturday evening.

NATIONWIDE CONFERENCE PLAY-OFFS
1st leg - Mon 2 May 2005
5th place vs 2nd place
4th place vs 3rd place

NATIONWIDE CONFERENCE PROMOTION FINAL
Sat 14 or Sun 15 May 2005 At Stoke City
Winners of 2nd v 5th vs Winners of 3rd v 4th

In an ideal world Hereford United would probably prefer to come 2nd or 3rd in the Conference this season therefore allowing them to play the first leg of the play-offs away. As the game is on Bank Holiday Monday, a reasonable turnout of supporters would be expected to travel.

Should the Bulls come fourth or fifth, then supporters face a long journey on Thursday May 5th to support their team.

In any case the first priority for Hereford United is to reach the play-offs. A win against York tomorrow would increase the likelyhood.
