Bulls move up to joint second

As a result of their 2-0 win over York this afternoon, Hereford United move up to joint second in the Conference with Carlisle and Aldershot.

However this was not a performance that the Bulls will be proud of and York might think themselves a touch unlucky that they failed to score as Craig Mawson made several good saves. Full report shortly.

The table after todays games is below: (For a more detailed table click on left)

1 Barnet 39 48 84
2 Carlisle 38 32 66
3 Hereford 38 24 66
4 Aldershot 39 13 66
5 Halifax 39 18 63
6 Accrington Stanley 39 15 63
7 Morecambe 38 14 63
8 Stevenage 39 8 63
9 Exeter 38 15 61
10 Woking 38 12 61

Carlisle were unexpectedly defeated by Forest Green Rovers and Accrington put four past Stevenage. Elsewhere Barnet were crowned Conference champions. The Bees defeated Halifax 3-1.

The Bulls News Potential Points Table now shows Hereford in joint second place.

Barnet 93
Carlisle 78
Hereford 78
Aldershot 75
Morecambe 75
Exeter 73
Woking 73
Halifax 72
Accrington 72
Stevenage 72

Hereford United therefore need eight more points to be certain of a play-off place at present but that figure could drop if other teams drop points. If the Bulls can keep their goal-difference high seven points might do.
