The Aldershot News and Mail had a long article about the Shots this morning. Part dealt with transfer news, but there was also a piece on next Sunday's game.
Onto Hereford, and the match gives (Terry) Brown the chance to sustain his side's current winning streak, against a team that despite holding happy memories against last term, beat the Shots 2-0 back in September comfortably at Edgar Street.
Brown said: "I still think they are the best footballing side in the league. We are meeting them in the middle of a good run for us but not the best run for them.
"Playing against Hereford is always a fantastic game. When they came to the Rec last season and beat us 2-1, they were good value for that win. They were in the middle of a fantastic run (11 game winning streak) but it is a different situation this time around and I fully expect this to be a very wide-open game."
The Bulls, who lost to Wrexham 2-1 on Tuesday night in the LDV Vans Trophy, are likely to field a 4-4-2 formation with skipper Tony James partnering the impressive Tamika Mkandawine.
In midfield, the outstanding Robert Purdie ? an England international called up by Paul Fairclough to face Holland next month ? will pull the strings while David Brown is likely to replace Danny Carey-Bertram up front.
After a disappointing Christmas that saw defeats at home and away to Exeter City, Hereford responded well in the FA Trophy, casting aside Accrington Stanley 4-0 after a 0-0 stalemate in Lancashire.
However, their league form has suffered of late, and a win will be much-needed at the Rec after three defeats on the spin and only six points being taken from the last 18 available.
