Upturn in fortunes required

The return of John Grant will be a crucial factor if the Bulls are to bolster their ailing league form, according to coach Richard O'Kelly.

Speaking to the Hereford Times, he said: "The return of Grant is like a new signing for us. He was playing well before his injury in September and before Saturday's match at Dagenham we had only lost once when he was involved."

Ben Smith's return brought 'brightness, imagination and composure on the ball,' according to O'Kelly.

Hereford United have picked up one league point in their last six matches and need to get back on track at Edgar Street on Saturday against Barnet, kick off 3pm.

The North Londoners are two places above United in eighth and have the Conference top scorer in their team. Junior Agogo has netted thirteen goals already this season in Peter Shreeves' side, who have won three of their nine away matches so far this season.

Hereford's O'Kelly continued: "Morale in the camp is still very good but the players realise they have to pull their fingers out on Saturday because the most important thing is to get results."
