Caddis admits everything was absolutely pathetic as Chorley cruise to 4-1 win

Hereford manager Paul Caddis has admitted everything about his side's performance in a 4-1 loss to Chorley was pathetic.

The downbeat Scot said the performance at Chorley was "everything the opposite of Tuesday" when Hereford beat Buxton 2-1.

In a blunt and honest assessment of Saturday's defeat, he said: "It was pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. The reaction was pathetic. Performance was pathetic."

Three goals down by the 22nd minute, Caddis questioned whether his side were worried about playing in front of Bulls fans at Edgar Street, with 2,578 in a crowd of 2,622 on Saturday.

"Right now, the obvious evidence is it is," he said.

"We've just lost two games at home. Poor as well. We lacked everything that we we had at Buxton. I'd love to tell you it's my job to find out the reasons why, but I can't sit here and lie and tell you I know why because I don't think anyone expected that start.

"The boys were obviously in high spirits."

He added: "We had to score five goals today at home to win a football match. You cannot do that. Just cannot do it. It wasn't good enough. The buck stops with me, I'm the one that picks the team and picks the tactics.

"I don't think we got too much wrong in terms of we tried to keep exactly the same team that deserve to play, the team that won on Tuesday night, and got the plaudits."
