Wright hoping for Friday return

Hereford United could see the return of captain Ian Wright for Friday night's match at Burton Albion, kick off 7.45pm.

Wright has missed the Bulls' last two Nationwide Conference matches - both of which they won - but his hamstring injury could be better in time for tomorrow's match.

United, currently in fourth place, will be favourites to beat eighteenth placed Burton who held table-topping Yeovil Town to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday. The Brewers have yet to win an Eton Park this season, dawing four and losing three of their home matches whilst Hereford have won six out of seven on the road, including five on the bounce. If they win on Friday, United will equal a post-war club record.

Attacker John Grant will miss out with a cracked fibula, but may return at the end of the month. Midfielder Ben Smith is set to return to training next week, whilst Mick Galloway, on-loan from Carlisle United, is eligible to play in Hereford's FA Cup and LDV Trophy ties later this month.
