Man of the match

Opinions can often differ about who should be 'man of the match' but for the BBC Sport report on their national website to suggest that new on-loan player Chukkie Ebribenne should take this honour was surprising.

Although he had several useful touches, especially in the first ten minutes, some thought he was not match fit and to be fair he has not had much time to blend in with the rest of the team. He looks powerful and should come better after another game or two.

Galloway was our reporter's choice for MOTM. He appears to have settled in well and it will be no surprise if Graham Turner offers him terms before the end of his loan spell.

Meanwhile where was Rob Sawyers today? There have been no reports of any injury to him, but it seemed odd to have both Fox and Voice, two strikers, who seemed unlikely to feature, on the bench. With the return of Ben Smith to the squad and Rob Purdie showing some promise, what is the future for Sawyers? Also when Grant and Guinan (and possibly Eribenne) are all available, Parry will surely revert back to his usual role meaning even more competition in midfield.

Before the start of the game, Cyrille Regis, the ex-England international, presented Welshmen Tony James and Paul Parry with caps for their inclusion in the semi-professional tournament which Wales won last spring. Regis attended the match as part of Hereford United's 'Kick Racism Out Of Football' Day.
