Cambridge give update on Munday's future

Cambridge United have given an update on the future of striker George Munday, who played 22 games while on loan at Hereford.

Brought in by sacked manager Paul Caddis and his assistant Adam Rooney, Munday became a key part of Aaron Downes's squad as the Bulls narrowly escaped relegation from National League North.

Munday, who started his journey with Cambridge United at the age of nine, scored 10 goals for the Bulls as he made 22 appearances in his 68-day stint.

With Cambridge sharing an update on their playing squad on Wednesday, they confirmed they had triggered the option of an extra year for the 19-year-old.
