Caddis further reflects on time at Hereford

Paul Caddis has thanked Hereford's 'unsung heroes'
Former Hereford manager Paul Caddis has further reflected on his time at Edgar Street.

After sharing a post on LinkedIn last week in which he highlighted the positives from his near three years at Hereford, he has now shared another update where he thanks the club's "unsung heroes".

He left the Bulls after a 3-0 defeat at Telford, with the club 23rd in National League North and nine points from safety.

The full post:

❤️ I took on my first role as a football manager in April 2023 at Hereford Football Club and now that it has come to an end it’s vitally important I allow those unsung heroes the recognition they fully deserve. We all look at that last minute goal or that own goal against us or the offside call but what we don’t take stock of is those men and women behind the scenes who can’t score a goal for you or make a last ditch tackle but they are just as important to football clubs as the players and staff.

🤝 This message isn’t about results, league tables, or match days in the spotlight. It’s about the people behind the scenes — the office staff and volunteers who are the true heartbeat of this football club.

To each and every one of you: thank you.

Thank you for the early mornings and the late nights.

Thank you for the quiet efficiency, the problem-solving, the organisation, the phone calls, the preparation, and the endless unseen tasks that make everything run seamlessly.

Thank you for caring as much as you do.

The work you do often goes unnoticed publicly. There are no headlines for the hours spent balancing budgets, organising travel, preparing facilities, handling admin, welcoming supporters, or ensuring match days operate smoothly. But please know this — it has never gone unnoticed by me.

I have seen the dedication.

I have felt the commitment.

I have relied on the professionalism.

Without you, this club simply cannot — and would not — function.

Football can sometimes focus solely on what happens between the white lines. But anyone who truly understands a football club knows it is built on far more than that. It is built on people. On pride. On community. On shared purpose.

The memories we’ve created together as one “team” — staff, volunteers, players, and supporters — will stay with me. The laughs, the challenges, the pressure moments, the celebrations, and even the difficult days have all shaped an experience I will always cherish.

You are a credit not only to Hereford FC, but to the wider football community. The integrity, warmth, and work ethic you show every single day reflect everything good about this club.

As I move forward, I do so with immense gratitude and respect for each of you. I take those memories with me, and I carry the lessons, friendships, and shared experiences proudly.

To you and your families, I wish nothing but health, happiness, and continued success for the future.

Thank you for everything you have done — and continue to do — for Hereford Football Club
