What Happened In The National North Last Night

A look back at last night in the National North League:

The National League North leadership belongs to South Shields after they sunk Alfreton Town late and are the only side left unbeaten.

Cedwyn Scott and Paul Blackett broke Reds hearts in the final few moments.

But the result of the night belonged to King’s Lynn Town - a stunning 5-0 victory at Spennymoor Town came thanks to a hat-trick from Michael Gyasi.

Stephen Walker’s double gave Scarborough a share of the spoils at Chorley.

Lewis Bell sealed a great win for Marine at Merthyr as Jack Stobbs’ goal grabbed a point for Curzon Ashton at Chester.

Danny Ormerod scored as AFC Fylde won 3-1 at Darlington.

Oliver Thornley’s dramatic winning goal gave Radcliffe some much needed cheer at home to Worksop as Hereford and Bedford Town both grabbed their first wins.

Luis Lacey was Macclesfield’s hero at Southport and Kidderminster Harriers needed an Alex Penny goal in the 82nd minute to draw at home to unlucky Oxford City.
