AFC Telford United have extended manager Kevin Wilkin’s stay with a new two-year deal through the end of the 2026/27 season. Wilkin, appointed in October 2022, steered the club to promotion from Step 3 via last season’s play-off final.
Club directors cited his experience, continuity and the stronger connection he’s forged between squad and supporters. Wilkin said he’s “delighted” to continue and aims to push the Bucks back into non-league elite.
AFC Fylde head coach Craig Mahon wants his side to sharpen their attacking and defensive play. Speaking after defeat to Scarborough Athletic, Mahon said: “First half, I couldn’t be happier…it was all done apart from score goals,” adding that the Coasters must do better in both boxes as they seek a swift return to the National League.
AFC Fylde have signed midfielder Tom Whelan from Boreham Wood, activating his release clause. The 29-year-old, who joined Boreham Wood in 2023 after spells at Bury and Yeovil, was described by Mahon as bringing “real quality on the ball, great experience at this level” along with “leadership, energy and creativity” to lift standards in the dressing room.
Darlington have signed 21-year-old central defender Tye Barton from Inter Miami. London-born Barton came through San Diego youth systems before joining Inter Miami’s U19s and then their second team, also training with the first team for two seasons.
He has since said in an interview with the club that his ambition is to play in the Premier League.
