Plans for a Singapore investor and the Blue and Gold Supporters Trust to take over Kings Lynn from chairman Stephen Cleeve appear to have collapsed.
Cleeve, according to the Eastern Daily Press, has agreed a business deal which will keep the club afloat until at least the end of next season.
It had been thought that James Rowe would become Lynn's new manager following the departure of Adam Lakeland but that now look unlikely.
"We appreciate that fans are keen to have some resolution and some clariity on appointments," said Cleeve.
"But suffice it to say that everything is under control and we just need a few days to complete our plans."
