Police have said they have a dispersal order available should there be any trouble between supporters at tonight's National North League fixture between Spennymoor and Darlington.
The order took effect at 3pm this afternoon and lasts until 6am tomorrow morning.
In essence anyone involved in anti-social behaviour or suspected of being involved can be ordered to leave the area.
A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: "There will be an increased
police presence in Spennymoor town centre and at the football ground
throughout today, which also includes a police drone to monitor and
capture any evidence needed in the event of disorder occurring.
"We would like to remind all those attending the match to behave responsibly.
"Officers are also appealing to parents to keep unsupervised children
away from these areas due to previous disorder at previous matches."
Darlington are away at Hereford on Saturday.
