South Shields manager Elliot Dickman said he side were 'all a bit gutted' after losing to Hereford last night.
"I thought we were excellent tonight,"said Dickman.
"Some of our football was terrific but ultimately it's about winning games of football.
"They made it difficult, keep their shape, a little bit of a press every now and again.
"We never seem to get goals like how they scored their goal but we seem to give those goals way quite a lot.
"It's strange saying I'm pleased on the one hand but I thought we did play well but it's about games of football and we've haven't done it.
"We're all gutted about that.
"First half we were so in control of the game and we had chances, didn't take them. Quality let us down.
"Everyone makes mistakes.
"We're clearing the ball and it hits a lad and ricochets in towards the goal, the rest of it is history in terms of they've scored.
"Tough one to take."
