Tiredness Is A Mind-Set Said Caddis

Hereford were soundly defeated by Spennymoor yesterday at Edgar Street. Afterwards manager Paul Caddis spoke about the game.

It was suggested that he must be bitterly disappointed by that result.

"Yes, yes, of course," said Caddis.

"Coming off the back of winning three games in a row to churn that out in the first half was really disappointing, to churn it out in the full game to be honest.

"The second half of the game we tried to change it, we made a lot of changes at half time because we didn't accept what was going on in the first half.

"Just a poor day.

"We kept the same team again because we've been desperate for that consistancy and the boys have earned that but today was disappointing."

Asked if he could put that first 45 minutes down to the long trip to South Shields last Tuesday Caddis said no.

"No, absolutely no chance, I told the players that.

"We had a young lad in the dressing room before the game today, trust me he's got a tougher fight than we've got, so there are absolutely no excuses, none what so ever.

"Tiredness is a mind-set.

"I'm not tired, we're not tired, yes we had a long travel and stuff like that.

"But if you can't get yourself going in 45 minutes in front of 2500 supporters then that's mentality thing that's not tiredness thing."
