Hereford manager Paul Caddis said he enjoyed his side's 1-0 win at South Shields this evening.
It was a long journey given the coach left Edgar Street at 11am.
"The players to a man were absolutely immaculate, that's the word I can use immaculate," said Caddis.
"The bus left today at 11am from Edgar Street, a lot of the lads had been working today. That's a reality.
"I've never done it so I don't know how it feels I'm going to say it's pretty tough.
"We defended really, really well.
"You could watch that game and see they had a lot of really decent patterns but we had the best chances.
"First half Willo had a good chance with his head, he had another one early doors when he tried to go around the goalkeeper.
"He's had another one, good opportunities.
"But I just thought to a man we were excellent including the players who came on.
"Cowls hasn't been in the team recently comes on and gives you that.
"Levi coming on getting more minutes.
"DJ coming on and grafting for us.
"Skins coming on for a short bit.
"I could go on for ever.
"Finally the two centre halves were outragous."
