On Thursday 9th January 2025 Matty Gillespie sadly passed away, a very well known man amongst the people of Hereford and beyond. Matty was a big football fan of Hereford United + Hereford FC along with his beloved Liverpool FC.
To remember Matty in a way in which everyone can come together we ask supporters who are attending the Hereford FC fixture against Spennymoor Town FC on Saturday 8th of February to participate in a minutes applause in memory of Matty.
Matty's last Hereford fixture came against Kidderminster on Boxing Day 2024, those in attendance for this Saturday's fixture can you please join us in the 9th minute to remember Matty.
