Club Not Ready To Go Full Time Said Caddis

In an interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester recorded before yesterday's game, Hereford manager Paul Caddis said that he and the club board felt it was too soon to go full-time.

"I'll be brutally honest, fans might not want to hear this, but we're not ready to go full time, the club isn't ready to go full time," said Caddis.

"You can't go from having less than £5,000 in your reserves to want to go full time 18 months later. It's unrealistic.

"Hybred would be a stepping stone, it's a discussion whether you do it three evenings or three afternoons.

"Or a possibility, could you rent a house for example to try and attract players from further away.

"If you've got overnight facilities that can help.

"There's loads of discussions to be made, it's something the board have asked me to almost to come up with a plan of what I see football wise for the club getting better even long after I'm not at the football club.

"I've started off being a manager here and I know I won't be here for ever but I want what's best for the football club and it if means there's a three, five, seven plan to put in place then I'll put my football expertise to the board and tell them how we think the best way of getting this club to the next level is.

"Right now it's very, very difficult and I totally understand it the supporters frustrations, I'm sure they understand mine, but the board are frustrated as well. They want the best for the football club.

"We don't have somebody who can come in and throw millions at it. That's the reality of it. Other clubs do.

"We're different. We have an unbelievable fan base, we rely on that massively, we've have to continue churning out 2500, 3000 supporters on a regular basis whether it's a Tuesday night or a Saturday to get the club to the next level.

"Then you have the challenges out the pitch when you're constantly relying on supporters to put them hands in their pockets which isn't fair because the world right now isn't fair.

"But that's where we are at, all I can go is try and be as competitive as I possibly can on the pitch.

"And I'm really proud of the 18 months I've had at the football club. Yes the last month hasn't been great but we're still not a million miles away. We're a four five unbeaten run from getting ourselves back up there.

"I understand the fans frustrations. It sounds as I'm not ambitious, trust me I'm the most ambitious man here.

"I want to be right at the top end but I'm now at a place where I'm having to understand the other side of it and I'm getting it."
