Former Hereford defender Martin Riley has announced his retirement. He made 12 appearances for the Bulls in the curtailed 2019/20 season after leaving Alfreton Town.
Riley, who has also turned out for clubs including Kidderminster Harriers, Mansfield Town and Wrexham over a 20-year career, was going to retire at the end of the 2021–22 season but had a change of heart and carried on playing at Hednesford Town for another two years. The 37-year-old, who is also a coach, says he has now officially hung his boots up.
