Kings Lynn chairman Stephen Cleeve isn't very happy with the new Cup Competition involving National League clubs. Some of the proceeds are supposed to go to clubs in the National North and National South Leagues. But if Cleeve is right these clubs will receive very little.
'The NL told me that yesterdays meeting was not about FA replays when it was- we are clearly not being represented and there is a conflict. The money for NLN clubs is awful. NL winning the tournament receive circa 130k a win gets you circa 8k a draw 4k.
The remaining 4k goes into a pot and is split between NLN and S clubs talk about throwing us a bone.
I am also told that the board did know about it but none of them clearly asked to consult with member clubs as it did not happen - the board does not seem to be operating in the best interests of its member clubs.
To break that down further the 4k will be worth just £25 per NLN or NLS club not even a bone just a piece of grissle'.
