It's almost certain that the new floodlights for Edgar Street promised by the club will be delayed.
However the reasons for the delay are realistic given that the Blackfriars End of the ground is set to be demolished after the end of the season.
"The signs are up now promoting the demolition which is going to start sometime in May which is pretty exciting," said Hereford chairman Chris Ammonds.
"We've got a variety of things we need to then address as a football club.
"We have facilities down at that end, a sprinkle system, groundsmans units, huts, toilets.
"We are going to slightly pause the floodlight process.
"We were going to put new lights on the currant towers but given demolition is sort of imminent, while the towers aren't going to go straight away, if they are going to go, if they going to be removed, then why are we going to put a load of new lights up on those.
"It's probably right to say we are pausing that.
"And whilst we are getting grant funding (for the lights) we wouldn't want to waste the money.
"We might be looking at going down a different route in terms of new floodlights.
"We will try and progress the floodlights situation as quickly as we can."
