Former Hereford marksman John Mills will be speaking about his time at Edgar Street in the latest instalment of a football podcast.John Mills, right, with Adam Page in front of a packed Meadow End at Hereford's first league game since reforming
John Mills, who is now player-manager at step six side Abingdon United where he started his career, has recorded the episode with Oxfordshire non-league football podcast Pick That Out.
It is yet to be released, but the podcast also recently featured Pablo Haysham talking about the highs and lows of what he said was an unbelievable three years at Edgar Street.
Mills was a hugely important figure as the Bulls achieved three successive title wins in their first three seasons since reforming.
He scored an incredible 140 goals and finished top scorer in each of his three seasons at Edgar Street after arriving from Didcot Town in 2015.
He said that his time at Edgar Street had been ‘without doubt the best three years of my life’, adding: “But unfortunately all good things must come to an end, even if it is the club I never wanted to leave.”
He went onto join National League South side Bath City as the Bulls were promoted to the National League North, but then moved out on loan to Banbury United and Westfields.
Since then, he has played for clubs including North Leigh, Kidlington and Royal Wootton Bassett Town and is currently player-manager at Abingdon United.
