Rhys Davies is one of the former Hereford players at Barry Town United |
Anyone looking for a Monday night football fix might consider going to Hereford Pegasus tonight.
Uhlsport Hellenic League side Hereford Pegasus will be taking on JD Cymru Premier in a mid-season friendly at The KGD Stadium, otherwise known as Old School Lane.
Barry are currently ninth in their league and have a number of former Hereford players in their side.
Rhys Davies, son of former Hereford United defender Gareth Davies who was briefly Head of Football after Peter Beadle was sacked, is one of them.
He refused a new deal in the summer of 2020, 12 months after signing for the Bulls.
He signed for Barry in June 2022 after making more than 50 appearances for fellow league side Aberystwyth Town.
He plays alongside Callum Sainty, brought in by Beadle in 2018 but let go by then-director of football Tim Harris only a few months later, and forward Ollie Hulbert, who made seven appearances on loan from Bristol Rovers in 2021.
For Hereford Pegasus, former Bulls youngsters Carlos Moreira and Frank Pemberton are among the squad.
Kick off at Hereford Pegasus will be at 8pm, with former Hereford assistant manager Steve Jenkins now at the helm at Barry.
