After yesterday's game at Farsley Hereford manager Josh Gowling said he had hoped his side would bounce back after recent defeats.
"Buxton came here last home game and they lost," he said.
"It's a difficult surface, difficult place to come, they way they play they are direct and scappy and fighting for it.
"They are difficult games but you expect to come here and win and we wanted to bounce back after the results we've had of late but it wasn't meant to be today."
Farsley went down to ten men in the 80th minute when Frank Mulhern was sent off.
"He had been doing it all game so it wasn't the first time he had done it but the ref didn't want to get hold of it.
"We had something the other week with Jack (Evans) with the tackles that were thrown in and the ref doesn't want to protect the players.
"And again today it takes an elbow in the face for him to realise that it's dangerous play.
"The ref wasn't the reason we lost the game but it was definitely a red."
A start for Zac Lilly partnership Orrin Pendley in defence.
"He did well, he's not played for three, four months. He trained about four, five times.
"Aaron has got his hammy so he's had to come in today. I thought he did really well."
Gowling said those currently out through injury won't be back for Tuesday.
"Injuries are injuries. They are not going to be fit for Tuesday. We've got the squad we've got, we'll have to have a look and see what we can do in the top area.
"It's probably been our achilles heel all season and now we are getting to the bread and butter and you want to kick on."
