A new era at Edgar Street starts this evening with Yan Klukowski taking charge of the Bulls for the first time.
He will be assisted by captain Jared Hodgkiss in their game against Southport.
36 year old Klukowski joined Hereford as player/coach in the summer of 2020. He already knew Josh Gowling.
"When I was at Torquay me and Josh struck up a really good relationship and we got talking during the summer as an opportunity to come in as a player and on the coaching side as well," he said.
"This club is a sleeping giant and it's a club that is looking to push further up the football pyramid."
Klukowski has come on as a sub several times this season including at Farsley last Saturday.
And he scored Hereford's third goal in the FA Cup game at Three Bridges in October.
Earlier in his career he played with Hodgkiss at Forest Green.
Whether both of them will be in the dug-out for all of the game tonight is uncertain as Hodgkiss may be in the starting eleven.
