Darlington's Game At Banbury Called Off At 2.30pm

Darlington's game at Banbury was called off at 2.30pm this afternoon.

Yesterday afternoon an 'experienced' local referee deemed the pitch playable.

So Darlington set off this morning expecting the game to take place.

A second inspection took place at 1.30pm this afternoon and again the pitch was deemed playable.

At this stage Banbury tweeted  "The sun is out and the match referee has arrived and declared the pitch fit for play."

However a third inspection took place at 2.30pm and the game was called off.
