Marco Rus Celebrates His Goal
Last night's performance by Hereford against Chorley was the best we've seen all season accoring to manager Josh Gowling.
Despite that the Bulls could only manage a 1-1 draw against a team who, in truth, had little posssession all through the game.
"We have played well but we have to put the ball in the back of the net," said Gowling.
"I thought we were excellent, that's the best we've been all season.
"Probably one of the best performances we've had since I've been here.
"But you miss opportunities and you leave yourself open to a 95 minute (equaliser).
"You look at the last three games, we've got one point out of the last three games and for me we should have had at least six on the board.
"We have clear cut chances
"I thought Marco has made a massive difference to the team, having full backs back, Ty has had a bit of a rest now he looks like he's reinvigorated.
"Jack Holmes is starting to realise what we want from him in terms of in possession and out of possession.
"It means that you can let your creative players be creative and you've got Jethro in support."
How did Chorley get such a late equaliser?
"We've looked at the goal back, we have a zone and the zone got sucked into them ringing the keeper and that opened up the space.
"We're talking about a goal in the 95th minute, realistically that doesn't happen if you're two or three nil up, would you be moaning, not you would not."
Hereford had plenty of chances to have been two or three goals ahead.
"Kane's was the easiest chance, it was harder to hit the post than score as he was about one yard out.
"Jack had a good chance as well.
"But we are getting in those areas which is pleasing but we've got to put games to bed.
"At the moment we are playing well but not putting games to bed."
