Boston manager Ian Culverhouse spoke about his side's 4-2 defeat by Hereford after yesterday's game.
Last Tuesday Boston went out of the FA Cup and Culverhouse said afterwards that it had been a learning curve.
So what about the Hereford game?
"A smack in the face," said Culverhouse.
"To start that slow, we looked tired but that isn't an excuse because all we had to do was stay with men and defend the corner.
"This is a restart league and if you don't defend free kicks and corners and throw ins you don't achieve anything.
"We were very very poor for 25 minutes."
Hereford scored their four goals inside 15 minutes.
"We didn't close the ball down in the corner for the counter attack, obviously the deflection we can't do anything about that. I still think we can get out a little bit quicker.
"The two goals from set play are criminal at any level.
"It was like a sive today the way they went through us. We've got to be so more professional and switched on."
