Fair Game continue to campaign for a independent football regulator.
This from Fair Game:
The next few days are huge. On Monday, we will find out who the next Prime
Minister will be - Liz Truss or Rishi Sunak.
Our mission is to make sure that the great strides made by the current
administration to reform football do not stall. The former Conservative
Sports Minister Tracey Crouch led a fantastic fan-led review that produced a
report that we at Fair Game fully endorsed.
Then the current Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and
Sport, Nadine Dorries officially endorsed the findings in the Government's
response. And since then the current Sports Minister Nigel Huddleston has
been working hard to develop a White Paper that could enshrine the changes
football needs into law.
It is essential that this momentum is maintained and we hope any new
ministers keep the pressure up and deliver on the promise of a new
independent regulator before the next election.
