Hereford claimed their first pre-season win thanks to a comfortable 4-0 win at Malvern Town.
Bulls manager Josh Gowling decided to start the match with a mix of trialists and young players, with the more experienced contingent coming off the bench after the break.
Just like they did against Arsenal Under-23s the previous Wednesday, Hereford scored early. A trialist - who was wearing number 17 - claimed the goal in the second minute.
Malvern's goalkeeper was Keiron Blackburn, who used to play for Westfields. And he was getting the ball out of the back of the net for the second time 17 minutes later. Another quick break resulted in a second trialist, wearing number nine, netting.
Hereford were always in control, and when Gowling made a number of changes on the hour mark, more goals were inevitable.
In the 73rd minute, the away side hit the crossbar before Luke Haines planted a header home seven minutes from time. The win was complete in the 87th minute when Miles Storey tapped home after Ryan McLean's effort was saved.
