Ian Foster the nippy striker/winger who scored 3 goals in 44 appearances for Hereford United between 1996 and 1999 is now the manager of the England Under 19 side. They are playing in the European Championships in Slovakia and beat Italy 2 1 on Monday to qualify for the final. England will face Israel in the final having already beaten them 1 0 in the qualifying group.
Foster previously managed the England under-18 side. By reaching the final of the European Championships England have qualified for the FIFA Under 20 World Cup in Indonesia in 2023.
