Josh Gowling At Brackley Yesterday

An article in today's Non-League Paper suggests that Boston are looking at Hereford's Josh Gowling, amidst several others, to fill the vacant manager's post at the Lincolnshire club.

The paper also names Brackley manager Kevin Wilkin as another potential target.

MANAGERLESS Boston United are looking to two of their National League North promotion rivals in the search for their next boss.

The Pilgrims – who recently moved into a new stadium and have ambitious plans to play back in the Football League – are understood to be interested in Brackley Town’s Kevin Wilkin and Hereford’s Josh Gowling.

Former Wrexham manager Wilkin, 54, has guided Brackley to the league summit, while rookie boss Gowling, 38, has impressed at Hereford playing attacking football and developing their exciting young talent on a shoe-string budget.

Gowling who lives locally to Boston at Grimsby where he used to play and remains a firm favourite last night played down speculation around his future saying 'Boston is a great club but so is Hereford and my focus is on getting us to the play-offs and ultimately winning promotion.'
